Reset or change the exploration page on Instagram
Instagram is one of the most popular social media apps and it allows users to share photos and videos with their friends, contacts and followers. You can follow other Instagram users or creators. Over the years, Instagram has also become a popular advertising platform. It shows each user a feed based on the accounts they are following, and there is also an Explore page where a user can view posts on recent searches, people you follow, and posts you like can.
If you’d like to reset or change your Explore page on Instagram, we’ve put together a step-by-step guide on how to do it.
To reset the Explore page on Instagram:

At the bottom right, tap your profile icon.

At the top right, tap the burger menu icon.

Below you can see a the settings Option, tap on it.

Under Data and history, you should see a Search history Option, tap on it.

Here you should see your recent searches and a Delete everything Option next to it (Clear search history under iOS). Tap on Delete everything.

You will be asked if you want to clear your search history. Tap on Delete everything.

Your search history should be cleared and the explore page will reset.
The prompt states that this is irreversible and that you may still see accounts that you previously searched for as suggestions.
To change your Explore page on Instagram:
You can also tweak your exploration page manually by selecting posts that you’re not interested in.
- Visit the Instagram app for Android or iOS.
- Tap on the magnifying glass search symbol in the lower row.
- Pick a post you don’t like.
- Tap the post’s three-dot menu icon.
- Tap on Not interested and the post is removed from the feed.
