PHOENIX – Tesla launched its Falcon Line ridesharing program in Phoenix and Tucson as a premium travel experience for drivers who want to get between the valley and southern Arizona in style, officials said.
The ride-sharing program offers a fully electric premium business class service from point A to point B with professional drivers in a fleet of Tesla Model X vehicles.
Equipped with retractable desks in the back seats and 5G WiFi, Falcon Line aims to make private and business travel productive and desirable.
“Most users of our service look for travel accommodations that are between 75 and 200 miles in length. The Phoenix to Tucson route is the first of many corridor travel options in our plans for launch in the US, “said Michael Puhala, CEO and founder of Falcon Line, in a press release.
Prices range from $ 100 to $ 300 and can be one-way or round-trip. All reservations must be made in advance to ensure that all arrangements can be made. According to the press release, the Falcon Line will also offer subscription services for high-volume passengers traveling between metropolitan areas.
All vehicles are equipped with an advanced air purification system and are disinfected after each trip, so travelers can feel safe amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
“Today’s travelers want a consistent experience that is safe, comfortable, and mindful,” said Puhala. “Falcon Line was born with this consumer in mind. Additionally, in addition to offering a gold standard luxury travel experience, Tesla is also an eco-friendly electric car that, as an added benefit, can use the HOV lane during times of high traffic. “
Passengers who book a seat receive a point-to-point drop-off, while passengers who reserve the entire car have the added benefit of door-to-door service.
Pick-up and drop-off points in the valley are located north of Scottsdale in the Scottsdale Quarter and near Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport. In Tucson, the designated pick-up and drop-off point is at the La Encantada shopping center.
Falcon Line is scheduled to expand to Flagstaff and Sedona in May.
Falcon Line has identified additional corridors for potential expansion in the US, including various cities in Texas.
The company’s goal is to expand to 10 corridors by the end of next year and to 25 corridors in the next five years.
