Three-digit set to return | Phoenix weather

Good monday morning After a seasonally cooler weekend, temperatures across Arizona will warm again in the coming week.

Look for sunny and warmer mid-90s temperatures in the deserts, with Phoenix exceeding 95 degrees this afternoon. The winds should generally remain fairly weak at speeds less than 10 mph. Lighter winds and warmer temperatures lead to stagnant air quality today, with ozone being an indication of high environmental pollution.

The weekend’s windy weather is likely to subside across the country as a deep depression eventually lifts off the southwest into Canada. This will leave us with a calm, dry weather pattern this week. Temperatures will rise under a high pressure ridge, with valley heights in three digits for the whole week starting tomorrow. Friday seems to be the hottest day in Phoenix with 103 degrees.

No rain is expected this week. The next cool down may appear to be Sunday through Memorial Day, when a dry low pressure trough could return to windy weather and slightly cooler temperatures.

Rest assured we will keep you posted as we get closer and I’ll have your full Good Morning Arizona prediction by 10am all morning
