Environmental agencies in Tucson issue a high pollution recommendation

TUCSON (KVOA) – Environmental agencies are warning people in the Tucson area to stay indoors on Monday because of a change in air quality.

The Pima County’s Department of Environment Quality has issued a recommendation on ground level ozone air pollution for the greater Tucson area. Ozone-sensitive people should limit their exertion outdoors between noon and 6 p.m., the agency says

According to PDEQ, people most likely to be ozone sensitive are children, adults who are active outdoors, and those with respiratory problems.
