Phoenix PANDA Lemonade Stand Day Draws Crowds in Support of Local Youth Programs

More than 50 lemonade stands across the Phoenix Valley raised over $50,000 on April 27, 2025, during PANDA’s annual Lemonade Stand Day. According to event organizers, the funds will support pediatric research at the Steele Children’s Research Center at the University of Arizona, with all proceeds directed toward advancing treatments for childhood diseases.

All proceeds from the event are designated for advancing treatments and finding cures for childhood diseases, officials said.

The 2025 PANDA Lemonade Stand Day featured more than 50 lemonade stands across the Phoenix Valley on April 27, raising over $50,000 to support pediatric research at the Steele Children’s Research Center at the University of Arizona, according to event organizers.

Sprouts Healthy Communities Foundation served as the presenting sponsor for the third consecutive year, contributing $30,000 in addition to providing fresh, locally sourced lemonade and Lemon Snaps to all participating stands. Sabrina Perkins, senior director of accounting and financial reporting at Sprouts, described the event as a powerful demonstration of youth philanthropy, praising the passion of children involved in giving back to their communities. Sprouts’ sponsorship aligns with its “goodness grows in the community” philosophy, sources confirmed.

The funds raised during the event will support a range of pediatric research areas at Steele Children’s Research Center, including autoimmune diseases, cancer, cardiology, microbiome studies, human genome research, and clinician endowments to advance pediatric care. PANDA (People Acting Now Discover Answers) emphasized that 100% of the money collected goes directly toward these research initiatives.

The 2025 event built on a tradition that began in 2018 as a grassroots fundraiser. Since then, Lemonade Stand Day has expanded throughout the Phoenix Valley, uniting dozens of neighborhoods under the “Children Helping Children” philosophy that encourages youth to actively participate in philanthropy. This year’s stands were hosted by kids and families in neighborhoods including Central Phoenix, Arcadia, and Scottsdale, according to reports.

Since partnering with PANDA in 2023, Sprouts Healthy Communities Foundation has donated over $50,000 to support the cause. The foundation’s ongoing involvement includes financial contributions and in-kind donations to enhance the event’s reach and impact, officials said.

PANDA officials highlighted the event’s role in inspiring the next generation of philanthropists by engaging children in fundraising efforts that benefit pediatric medical breakthroughs. The organization confirmed that the 2025 Lemonade Stand Day set a new record for both the number of stands and funds raised.

Looking ahead, PANDA plans to hold its next Lemonade Stand Day on March 29, 2026, with continued sponsorship from Sprouts Healthy Communities Foundation, sources confirmed. The event remains a key annual fundraiser supporting the Steele Children’s Research Center’s mission to improve outcomes for children affected by rare and complex diseases.
